COIN HIGHLIGHTS

  • Consisting of 1 oz 9999 Fine Silver
  • Condition: Brilliant Uncirculated (BU)
  • Obverse: Features the Effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for the first time on the maple leaf series
  • Reverse: Features the depiction of a textured maple leaf, Canada's national emblem, along with the metal weight and purity set against micro-engraved radial lines

The 2015 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf stands as one of the most recognized and trusted silver bullion coins worldwide. Struck by the Royal Canadian Mint from 1 troy ounce of .9999 fine silver, this Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) coin offers collectors and investors a combination of exquisite craftsmanship, advanced security, and unparalleled purity.

A bold, vivid sugar maple leaf, Canada's national emblem and the ideal metaphor for the great North is illustrated on the reverse side. The maple leaf is beautiful, resilient, omnipresent throughout the land, and has a diverse range of species. The depiction demonstrates the Royal Canadian Mint's unapparelled quality, as meticulous attention to detail is paid, from the leaf's texturing to its unique shape to its veins. Adorning the coin's field are light-refracting, micro-radial lines, with the privy mark, metal type and weight, and purity all included.

The obverse side bears the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.Since its introduction in 1988, the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf has only ever featured a bust of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Late Majesty is the only monarch that generations of Canadians have known, but her passing in September 2022 means that her son Charles now reigns as King Charles III. The new British monarch is shown here in left-profile relief, a change in orientation from Her Late Majesty's right-profile portrait. The switch in orientation from one monarch to the next is a British coining tradition that also applies to Canadian coins.
